One Shared Commitment

Service alongside Your Leadership Peer Group

Making Local Impact Together

Understanding a community is an important part of leadership. Making a difference in that community is where leadership comes to life.

Through the Community Impact experience, Leadership Lowndes participants move beyond learning about local challenges to actively supporting organizations working to address them. Each Leadership Peer Group identifies a local nonprofit or community organization where members contribute their time, talents, and energy to meaningful service.

Hours of Service

Per Participant

More Than a Service Requirement

Each participant completes 20 hours of hands-on service with their Leadership Peer Group. Together, they gain a deeper understanding of the organization's mission, the people it serves, and the challenges it faces.

The experience also provides an opportunity to strengthen relationships within the group, apply personal leadership strengths, and reflect on how individual actions can contribute to a greater community purpose.

Connections That Continue

The impact of service doesn't have to end when the required hours are complete. By working alongside local organizations and the people who support them, participants build relationships and discover opportunities to remain involved long after their Leadership Lowndes experience concludes.

Our hope is that Community Impact inspires a lasting commitment to service, civic engagement, and leadership throughout Lowndes County.
